The CFDF is one of the most important events in the Chinese market for the food and beverage sector, representing a key platform for companies looking to expand in China. This market is characterized by rapid growth and strong demand for international products, particularly wines and alcoholic beverages, gourmet foods, and local specialties.
During the three days of the fair, more than 6,600 exhibitors from 45 countries and regions around the world presented over 300,000 products at the West China International Expo and the Century City New International Convention and Exhibition Center. The exhibition area for this edition was 325,000 square meters, and with the participation of over 400,000 professional visitors, this edition was the largest ever.
When we state that the Chengdu Fair - TANG JIUHUI - DA ZHAN, known in English as the CFDF - China Food and Drink Fair, is the most important wine event in mainland China, we do so based on over a decade of experience developed in this challenging yet dynamic market since 2006. We have introduced numerous Italian institutions, primarily Vinitaly Verona Fiere, to the fact that the event at the start of the lunar year, right after the Chinese New Year, is the occasion where one must be massively present and visible to the numerous operators.
In this week, hundreds of thousands of operators gather in Chengdu, who in the days leading up to the main fair are scattered across dozens of hotels and other locations, but come together to visit the stands of the main fair. These are wine dealers from every Chinese province who take advantage of the large fair to meet their suppliers from many foreign countries but also seek other business opportunities by tasting new products.
